the truck tailgate became the stage for this event. we did a show in the rough part of town. there were drug dealers and prostitutes in the audience. all we had was the back of my truck so we did what we could. check it out. it went great by the way.

here is lindsey the fireproof woman doing a street show for everyone. she is so talented. its hard to see but she is eating the fire

we had lots of people show up.

here is the deaf boy named pedro. he cant hear, cant read, cant write, cant speak, cant do sign language, nothing. i communicated with my card tricks. he smiled so big when i let him run the motorcycle

its all worth it

our home is gone

its not as dramatic as it sounds but our home is gone. here is what i am talking about.

the rig that we lived in and toured the country in for so long has just been sold. we sold it last week to a guy in georgia who is going to use it for race cars. we were so sad to see it go. i will say that we were ready to sell it. it was time. our lives are changing and we are moving on. it was tough to actually make the decision to sell it because it was such a great experience and a huge part of our journey. it is part of our story.

you may not know this but i viewed that big rig as a miracle. it was the thing that reminds me of the time my life changed.

it all started when we felt that we needed a bigger rig to travel more miles in. as we began to pray about it we had a phone call that set it all into motion. one night we got a call from the police. they said that our truck was on fire. yep, the truck that we traveled in burned one night. we immediately knew it was time to think and act big. we searched for a big freightliner with a conversion so we could travel and live in across the country. we found this one

we saw God totally provide the money down to the very dollar of what we needed to get into this rig. we never had a single tight spot when it came to paying for this thing. it was really wild. i will save you the pages of details but dont worry i will add it into the book i write someday soon.

anyway, it quickly became our home sweet home. we toured the country thru about 44 states driving this rig. we stayed in every truck stop and roadside rest area and random parking lot imagineable. we slept thru 1 earthquake. actually i slept, and auny fell off the bed. we drove thru 2 hurricanes. we hunkered down in a tropical storm with our friends brian and stephanie in ft pickens florida. we got stuck in the sand, in the grass, and in the mud. we drove thur blizzards and climbed icy roads. we back it into the most impossible spaces to unload it for the show. we were kicked out of church parking lots, and walmarts for being an eye sore. we were almost killed one night when someone threw bricks into our windshield at 70 mph. we saw the most beautiful sunsets and stepped out of the back door onto sandy beaches. we saw the grand canyon, mt rushmore, the hoover dam, niagara falls and about every other site this country has to offer. i lived my life in this rig. auny and i had the absolute best adventures we could ever imagine.

the truck which we called “home” is gone… but the adventure continues.

superwow-week 2

what an amazing week here in jekyll island. we had matt papa and landon dowden here. they were great. we really had a meaningful week.

the block party today went great as well. the most amazing story was when i met a deaf person named pedro. he couldnt hear, couldnt speak, couldnt read, couldnt write, and couldnt do sign language. basically he was in a world all alone. he couldnt communicate with anyone in any way. today i found a way to communicate. i started by doing a card trick. pedro, who is 16 years old, began to smile. i was getting somewhere. i continued doing tricks and found a way to use the tricks and my hands to begin to communicate the love i had for him and the fact that we were here because we love God. it was basic but more than he has heard in a long while. it was truly amazing. we found a person who was qualified to help the young man. when we left she was following him home to meet his parents. they are going to get him into a program. today he spends all of his time wandering the streets all alone. hopefully tomorrow he will soon have a whole new world.

whisper

for those who dont believe in God this post will be tough to read. feel free to skip this one and come back tomorrow. if you do believe in God then this will be something of interest. of course you are all invited, and welcome to read along. its not like i can stop you. ha

so, i have been trying to listen to Gods voice. i have heard that he whispers in the good times, speaks in the hard times, and shouts in times of tragedy. i probably messed up the quote but you get the idea.

yesterday i was rtaking a walk with my wifey. as we walked along the beach in the blazing sun and awful humidity we began to talk about direction in our lives. we talked about ministry and missions, and church. it was a good talk. we were just trying to figure things out. at the end of the talk i began to hear what i thought could be a little whisper. i wasnt sure and i started talking myself out of it. i even tried to make an excuse. it was such a small whisper that i didnt think alot about it. i felt like God was saying to work with a mission in brunswick georgia this week. there is a group of people who are doing some projects here and trying to inpact the community. well, here is the interesting thing. marsha, the girl in charge of the mission project came to me today and said, “can you think about coming and…” before she finished i said i will do it. she was shocked but i knew what she was going to say and i knew i was supposed to be a part of whatever they were doing. the coolest part is that they wanted me to do a block party. lindsey the fireproof woman is traveling with us as you may already know. we have been talking about trying to do a block party for a city. we have been looking for the right place and the right time. well i guess this is it.

i will tell ya how it oes. it happens thursday.

week 2

dirt bike tricks

i love my dirt bike. i really love to ride. there is nothing i love more in this world outside of the obvious than riding. i try to turn my hobbies into a career at every chance i get. if you have been to my show then chances are you have seen me do a trick with a dirt bike. i have developed 4 different tricks that i have taken to the stage that require using my dirt bike. i am planning on another one soon. dont tell anyone.

last night, i was doing one of my tricks with the bike. i had someone opening a door for me so i could ride in and onto the stage. the problem was the girl couldnt hold both doors open. she dropped one door as i got to it so i reached out with my left foot and grabbed the door as it was closing. i swung the door and pushed it open as i rode thru the doorway and never even slowed down. it was so awesome. it was a jackie chan moment for me. i was a stunt tricky fun moment that i will always remember. those who saw it were as impressed as i was that i pulled it off.

superwow week 1

we are almost done with the first week here at superwow in jekyll island. we are having a great time. i am soo tired though. i have been working on new material and it has been keeping me up really late every night. i get up early to get it all ready to perform. it is going great but i am wearing thin. dont worry i am gonna make it. i am really loving this new stuff. i have some new routines that i have created that are very different than i have done in the past. i think you are all going to love it.

summer starts now

today we begin our 3 week stay in jekyll island ga. we will be perorming at youh conferences there for different groups. we have been there many times before and we love going to this place. you are all welcome to come. the events we will be doing are called superwow. if you are anywhere in the southeast then come join us. i will be debuting some new effects this summer. if you see me this summer then look for the new stuff and tell me what you think.
