great week so far

the haiti benefit was a big success. we were able to raise some money for the effort in that broken country. we will be working on this for a long time.

last night we went to callahan florida for a show. we were really blessed by the people who were there. it was a great time for me to get encouraged. i want to go back there soon.

by the way. we will be announcing the details of our cruise soon. if you havent heard the news. if you book a show now then we will take you with us on a cruise vacation. yep, cruise for 2. must call us before march 15. book a show and get a cruise vacation. no strings attached.. just try us

we have already forgotten

its easy to forget what is going on in haiti. i think we actually choose to let it go as the media turns to new and more entertaining stories. i have to admit, i have moved on in some ways. i havent prayed for haiti as much as i once did. i got busy with life and the urgency to act and to pray as faded. i was reminded today as i read anderson coopers blog. God forgive us for being so dang selfish and self absorbed.

im clocking in

i am clocking in today. after being off for a few weeks i am ready to go back to work. we will begin with a show at tennessee tech university at 7pm. we are going to be taking up a collection at the show to help haiti.

friday night we will be in knoxville at university of tennessee. hope to see ya there

some people in haiti are eating mud today. how thankful are we that we eat food?

before you begin to celebrate christmas try celebrating thansgiving. thank God that you have food today. november is a month that i am reminded to be thankful. lets not skip thanksgiving. lets be thankful.

halloween party

we had such a great time friday night at our party. it was not a halloween party but it was a little halloweenish.  entering into the house was a little tricky. there was a tunnel that lead you thru an adventure of darkness including scary sounds that lead you to believe someone or something was near, before finally delivering you to the front door. then we had food and desserts. we had a presentation about the hands and feet project in haiti and raised some money. so far we have raised over $1300.

after that we moved into the barn for a show. we had some story telling and magic and even a freak show from the gypsyland sideshow circus. it was so great to watch. i had a blast. we even had to do 2 shows because there were so many people that came. we had over 50 people!! fun times. i will post some pictures soon.

gypsyland party starts now

tonight is our favorite party times of the year. we go all out on this one. we have invited the world over to have a big party with us. we expect about 50 or more people to come and have fun and raise some money for hands and feet. hands and feet is an orphanage in haiti that helps kids in major poverty. tonight will be full of mystery and surprises. the thing i am stoked about is a chance to bless people. we will have an opportunity to help people eat and live a better life. haiti is a 90 minute flight from the united states yet it is among the poorest 5 nations in the world. i think that by having a party and spreading the word and raising some cash is the least i can do. i am a very wealthy man. i have made alot of money in my lifetime. i think i can put some money into helping people survive. i hope you will join me as we pray and pay for a people that is in desperate need. if you make minimum wage then welcome to the world of the rich. thats more money than most people will ever make. im hoping tonight we really do make a difference. anyone wanna send some money? comment me here and we will give you some instructions.

party time at gypsyland

friday night at 7pm we will be having the biggest party ever at gypsyland. we will have a magic show, hayride, gumbo, chili, smores, a mystery contest, and a freaky sideshow. i cant even tell you how excited we are to present this years halloweenish party. we have been working on this for almost a year.

we designate our party each year in october to benefit hands and feet, an orphanage in haiti. you are all invited to come and have an experience you will not forget. bring $10 and help change someones life while you have some fun

more global warming

im not done talking about this global warming idea. someone recently pointed out how stupid i was for coming to the conclusion that global warming isnt true because it is cold in tennessee.. i thought that was kind of funny.

i will explain myself a little more. some of you have heard me talk about this before but i want to be even more clear. this is what i think about global warming. first of all i am not convinced that the earth is really in that much danger. it may be a little warmer than usual but its such a relative thing. warmer than what? warmer than it was a few years ago? ok, so what. in the past 5000 years, have we ever seen higher than normal temperatures? if not then maybe it is a concern. if so then ok, we survived. my point is that we dont even know what an average temperature is. like i said before, it seems really arrogant to say that there is absolute evidence that the world is in eminent danger. how do we know that the earth isnt supposed to heat up and cool down from time to time? im just saying, it seems arrogant for a scientist who is only been educated by a university and is 50 or 60 years old to say how hot or cold the earth is supposed to be.

are there cause and effects? of course.our friends in europe have been saying that in some places the temperatures are much colder than usuall. some say the world is cooling off and we are in danger of a coming ice age. ok, whatever you say. in some places the world is heating up and in some places it is cooling off. so which is it? some say that mars is also heating up.

i dont know, im not an expert. im not a scientist. i dont even care that much about it. but you may say that we must act quickly so we can save the polar bears. yep they are cute, i know.

i think that we as humans should be responsible. christians should be responsible too. (yes christians are human). i think we should make every effort to be responsible and be good stewards of the resources and the planet that we have been given. i love this place. its absolutely beautiful here. but here is where i get sideways. if we as christians would give a crap about people more than polar bears then maybe we would begin to get the point. i think that save the planet is a distraction from saving the people. what i am saying is this. be very careful how you read this, i wanna be very clear. when we put the planet above people we have lost our minds. there are people starving to death in a little country called haiti. it is a 90 minutes flight from florida. people are dying from lack of food and water right now as i write this. we have diverted our budgets, attention, energy, and resources to saving the planet and have turned our backs on people. people matter. have we really gotten this freaking stupid???? seriously?? we spend more time spending money and resources on things out of fear. so what if a polar bear is struggling to find his next meal. i think that people are a little more important.

anyway, i hope i have made my point clear. im not an expert on anything. i just have observations. i hope that i use some common sense as i approach the world. i may seem like i have it figured out but i dont. i think we need to get off our butts and do what really matters. global warming may or may not be a reality but i do know that people is what matter the most.
